Photato 1.0.6.3 available

17th July 2009

I’ve been working this week mostly on making the Facebook synchronisation service more robust, but I’ve also fixed a few minor (but irritating) UI bugs. I’m still categorising this release as experimental but it is a significant improvement over the previous experimental releases. Once I’ve had a few more people try this release and I’m happy it’s working ok then I’ll promote it to the download link on the home page. For now you can download it here. As always if you have any problems please report them in the forum, although I’m away for the next 3 days on a kitesurfing course so I’ll only be able to respond to queries when I get back.

Thanks

UI bugs fixed:
Photo browser now displaying photos immediately rather than only after navigating away from post-it
Slideshow now displaying photos
Duplication of some tagged photos problem resolved

Hi I love your idea, still a bit buggy, but very impressive work.

How can I support you or help you complete your work ?

Thanks
Albert

Hi Albert

Thanks for the comments, they definitely help.

The main problem I’ve got is that at the moment I’m having to work for other clients to bring some money in which is leaving me little or really no time for Photato. I don’t think there’s much anyone can do other than keep encouraging me to find the time to come back and finish things off and spreading the word, because ultimately for Photato to really develop I’m going to need to be convinced there’s a market for it.

I hope that explains the absence of any updates recently. Hopefully soon I’ll have the time to get version 1 complete and ready for release.

Cheers
Martin
